The Ministry of Health applauds Kajiado County for embracing the Social Health Authority (SHA), a key step in improving healthcare access and service delivery in the region.
Representing the Principal Secretary for Public Health and Professional Standards, Dr. Ouma Oluga lauded the county’s leadership for its commitment to strengthening healthcare.

He noted that SHA will enhance access to quality and affordable medical services, ensuring that no one is left behind.
Speaking at the event, Governor Joseph Ole Lenku expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Health and the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) for their support.
He emphasized that SHA is a game-changer in the journey toward universal health coverage (UHC) and reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to ensuring residents receive the healthcare they deserve.
The occasion also saw the flagging off of new ambulances, further strengthening emergency medical response in the county.
The Ministry of Health remains committed to working closely with counties to implement transformative healthcare programs that safeguard the well-being of all Kenyans.
