Mercy Juma has announced her exit from the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) after 7.5 years and revealed her next professional move.
Mercy covered variety of human interest stories including reproductive health news, climate change and women’s right stories.
The award winning journalist revealed that she landed a different role with World Food Program (WFP) as the head of Communications Department which marks a vital milestone in her career. She wrote,
“After 7.5 years with #BBC, I’m starting a new chapter. Thrilled to join @WFP_Kenya as Head of Communications.
Mercy noted that her new career move doesn’t mark the halt of her story-telling rather a change in direction of how she tells her stories.
