Tanzanian Bongo Fleva artist Mbwana Yusuf Kilungi, widely known as Mbosso, has shared some heartening news with his fans, revealing that he has fully recovered from a heart condition he has battled since birth. The singer took to Instagram to express his gratitude for the successful treatment he recently underwent, acknowledging both local and international medical professionals who played a key role in his healing process.
Mbosso first became aware of the severity of his heart condition during a health screening event at the Jakaya Kikwete Cardiac Institute (JKCI) in Tanzania in December 2024. It was at this screening that doctors diagnosed him with a congenital heart disorder, which he described as an electrical issue affecting his heart’s rhythm.
After the diagnosis, JKCI, along with the Tanzania Arts and Culture Trust (BASATA), vowed to provide support for Mbosso’s treatment. The process culminated in a highly successful medical procedure performed by a team of esteemed heart specialists from Egypt, who collaborated with local Tanzanian doctors. Remarkably, the entire treatment, which lasted only one hour, marked a key moment in Mbosso’s recovery journey.
