Principal Secretary for Medical Services Ouma Oluga has urged the National Assembly Departmental Committee on Health to support the proposed allocations for the 2025/2026 financial year.
This, he said, this will facilitate the Ministry’s delivery of quality, affordable and accessible medical services for Kenyans.
Oluga said this during the presentation of the proposed budget estimates for the State Department for Medical Services for the 2025/2026 financial year before the National Assembly Departmental Committee on Health.
The Committee is chaired by Seme MP Dr. James Nyikal.
The PS outlined key priorities including advancing Universal Health Coverage (UHC), health systems integration, digitization of health records and proposed reforms at KEMSA.
Dr. Oluga was accompanied by Director General for Health Patrick Amoth, CEOs of Semi-Autonomous Government Agencies under the Ministry and other senior officials.
