Jubilee Party Deputy Leader Fred Matiang’i has pledged unwavering loyalty to former President Uhuru Kenyatta as he takes up his new role in the party’s leadership.

Speaking on Friday during the Jubilee Party delegates meeting in Murang’a County at Thika Green, which was attended by Uhuru Kenyatta, Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni, and former Senator Kembi Gitura, Matiang’i said he is committed to strengthening the party and advancing Uhuru’s legacy.

“I have learnt a lot under Uhuru Kenyatta during my ten years as his Cabinet Secretary. I will work with leaders to ensure your legacy continues. We will speak to our people and make Jubilee bigger,” Matiang’i said.

He emphasized the need for unity and inclusivity, noting that the Jubilee Party will continue to serve all Kenyans without discrimination or insults.

“We will deliver the next government to make you proud and work closely with other members of the united opposition,” he added.

Matiang’i also praised Uhuru for his leadership and the progress achieved during his tenure, saying the country needs renewed hope and reconciliation.

On his part, Kioni said the Jubilee Party is ready to “liberate the country” by collaborating with like-minded Kenyans and intensifying grassroots mobilization.
