Kenyan real estate giant Maono Lands Limited has announced its expansion into Zambia, marking a significant milestone in its mission to take Kenyan real estate to the international stage.

Accoding to Kinyua Wairatu Founder and CEO of Maono Lands revealed the company’s ambitious plans, which include selling shares worth KSh1 billion to a major Zambian investor.

The deal is set to inject fresh capital into Maono Lands and strengthen its footing as a pioneer Kenyan real estate firm venturing abroad.“We are about to embark on one of the greatest partnerships ever seen in the history of real estate in Kenya,” Wairatu declared. “In Zambia, we have found committed partners who believe in our vision. This is just the beginning; Maono is going global.”Beyond the financial investment, the partnership will also see Maono Lands offering consultancy services and participating in strategic discussions to boost the real estate industry in Zambia.

Wairatu emphasized that the company aims to share its extensive experience while also learning from new markets to better serve clients and stakeholders.“I have been in this sector for over 20 years. I fully understand the dynamics involved, and that’s why we have now decided to diversify and expand beyond Kenya’s borders,” he added.

Founded with the vision of making land ownership accessible and affordable, Maono Lands Limited has built a strong reputation across Kenya. The firm offers prime plots in Nairobi, Malindi, Nyandarua, and Machakos counties, and has successfully helped thousands of families achieve their dream of land ownership.

The move into Zambia not only highlights the company’s growth but also cements Wairatu’s position as a key influencer in Kenya’s real estate sector. Under his leadership, Maono Lands has championed reforms for greater transparency and accountability in the industry.

Wairatu is also the founder of the Association of Real Estate Stakeholders (RESA), a fast-growing lobby group aimed at curbing unethical practices within the sector. RESA currently has over 200 active members and continues to advocate for professionalism across the industry.

As Maono Lands Limited embarks on this new chapter, it stands as a shining example of a homegrown company stepping confidently onto the global stage, inspiring other Kenyan firms to pursue international opportunities.
