The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has rolled out a nationwide support system to help 2025 KCSE candidates facing challenges during the application process for university and college placement.
In a notice issued on April 14, KUCCPS said the centres are part of a wider effort to ensure all eligible students successfully apply for the 2026/2027 placement cycle. The support desks have been set up in universities, technical institutions, and colleges across the country to make assistance more accessible.
Among the institutions hosting support centres are Moi University, Maseno University, Egerton University, Pwani University and Maasai Mara University, alongside several technical and vocational colleges in different counties.
KUCCPS said trained officers have been deployed to each centre to provide hands-on support, especially for students struggling with technical issues, course selection, or accessing the online portal. Additional help is also available at Huduma Centres countrywide and at the agency’s headquarters in Nairobi.
The support exercise runs from April 13 to April 24, 2026, with candidates encouraged to seek help before the application deadline on May 6. KUCCPS also advised students to use official communication channels, including phone and email, for further assistance.
The move comes shortly after the placement body opened its portal for degree applications targeting students who scored C+ and above in the 2025 KCSE exams, as well as candidates from previous years. Applicants are required to submit their course choices through the official KUCCPS portal before the deadline.
