Police in Kirinyaga have launched investigations after a 28-year-old boda boda rider was found dead near River Kiwe in Mukithi village, Ndia Constituency.
The rider, identified as Joseph Nguru Munyao, had been operating from Kiaga Trading Centre.
His motorbike was found next to his body at the scene.
Residents said they were shocked by the killing and wondered what might have led to Munyao’s death.
“Honestly, we don’t understand why someone would do this,” they said.The area chief, Edward Njega, confirmed the body had injuries.
“At first it looked like suicide, but with the signs on the body, it’s now being treated as murder. Police are on it,” he said.
