Kipipiri MP Wanjiku Muhia has alleged that Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung’wah recently issued a threat against her after she publicly criticized the government and pledged to raise awareness on its shortcomings.

Muhia while speaking at a church service at Kahawa West stated that if any harm were to come to her, Ichung’wah should be held accountable, pointing to the phone call as an attempt to intimidate her into silence.

“I refuse to bow to intimidation,” Muhia declared, reaffirming her commitment to standing by former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua. “I will not be deterred in my mission to inform the public about the current administration’s failures.”

The MP’s statements come amid mounting tensions within the Mount Kenya political landscape, with some leaders voicing dissatisfaction over alleged marginalization and lack of representation in the Kenya Kwanza government.

Muhia’s firm stance highlights her loyalty to Gachagua, who has recently become a vocal critic of the administration after his impeachment and replacement by Interior CS Kithure Kindiki.

Despite the alleged threat, Muhia insisted that she will continue to represent her constituents’ concerns and rally for transparency and unity within the Mount Kenya region.
