Residents of Kesses Constituency welcomed a major boost to their water supply on Thursday as the Cabinet Secretary for Water, Sanitation and Irrigation, Eng. Eric Mugaa, and Principal Secretary Julius Korir officially commissioned the Ndungulu and Sigilai Primary Schools and Community Water Projects.

The commissioning ceremony was attended by MP Julius Ruto and Uasin Gishu Deputy Governor Evans Kapkea, who joined leaders and community members in celebrating the completion of the projects.

The new water systems will provide reliable access to clean water for the two schools and nearby communities, improving sanitation, public health, and learning conditions for children.

CS Mugaa noted that access to clean water is vital for the dignity and well-being of residents and praised the projects for already making a real difference in the lives of local families.

He urged the County Government, which will manage the projects through the local water service provider, to ensure proper maintenance so that the water supply remains reliable.

PS Korir encouraged the service provider to focus on reaching every household, especially in rural areas, to make the projects sustainable for years to come.

The Ndungulu and Sigilai water projects mark a significant step forward in improving water access, supporting community development, and enhancing the quality of life for residents of Kesses Constituency.
