As the world prepares for this year’s World AIDS Day, Kenya increases the momentum toward the #EndingAIDS2030. The day will also witness a World AIDS Day Half Marathon and a free medical camp in Nyayo National Stadium this Saturday, 30th November 2025, with special focus on adolescents and young people.

It aims to expand access to HIV testing, treatment, and prevention tools, as well as accurate health information.

Speaking before the national commemoration, the Health Cabinet Secretary, Hon. Aden Duale, urged Kenyans from all walks of life to come in large numbers and support the campaign, noting that the day is not only about awareness but also about solidarity and community wellness.

This year’s theme puts young people at the centre, calling for inclusive services and sustained investment in prevention, treatment, and care across the country.

The ministry says progress continues to grow through strong partnerships with counties, civil society groups, and development partners.

These collaborations have helped expand the uptake of PrEP and PEP, prevent mother-to-child transmission, and improve access to ART for adolescents and youth.

“World AIDS Day 2025 reminds us that ending AIDS as a public health threat by 2030 will take a collective effort, compassion, and a shared commitment to leave no one behind,” the CS said.
