The Kenya National Highways Authority (KENHA) has issued a traffic advisory for motorists planning to use the Rironi–Nakuru–Mau Summit (A8) Highway this Friday, November 28, 2025.
The advisory comes ahead of the official launch of the Rironi–Nakuru–Mau Summit Road by President William Ruto at various locations along the route.
KENHA warned that motorists should expect significant traffic congestion along the highway throughout the day.
“Drivers are advised to either reschedule their travel or use alternative routes, including Ngong–Suswa–Narok–Mau Narok–Njoro–Nakuru, Nairobi–Thika–Magumu–Njabini–Ol Kalou–Nakuru, Nakuru–Kampi ya Moto–Ravine–Makatuno, and Nakuru–Njoro–Molo–Mau Summit,”statement read
The authority urged motorists plying these sections to plan their journeys in advance and apologized for any inconvenience caused, emphasizing that the measures are intended to ensure smooth traffic flow and safety during the high-profile road launch.
