A new reality show is set to light up Kenyan screens, offering an intimate look into the lives of five dynamic mothers balancing fame, family, and ambition. The Mommy Club NBO, the latest addition to the popular franchise, brings together some of Nairobi’s most influential women as they navigate the highs and lows of modern motherhood.
At just 23, Lynne Njihia is the youngest cast member but already a standout voice among Gen Z moms. A fast-rising influencer and new mother to a baby girl, Lynne brings raw honesty and youthful perspective to the show. Her open approach to parenting and self-discovery resonates with Kenya’s growing community of young, digital-native parents.
Pierra Makena, 43, is no stranger to the spotlight. The celebrated DJ and actress will share her journey as a single mother raising her daughter Ricca. Fiercely independent and deeply committed to her role as a parent, Pierra adds star power and substance to the cast, showing viewers that success and motherhood can thrive side by side.
Award-winning actress and digital creator Jackie Matubia, 34, also joins the show. She opens up about raising her two daughters, Zari and Zendaya, from different relationships. Jackie doesn’t shy away from the challenges of co-parenting and speaks candidly about maintaining healthy relationships with both families for the sake of her children.
Joining the trio are Carey Priscilla, a mother of three and founder of Carey Beauty School, known for her entrepreneurial spirit and viral skits with her husband, and Ofentse Tsipa, a South African living in Nairobi with her Dutch husband and two children, offering a multicultural twist to the series.
The Mommy Club NBO follows the success of its South African and Tanzanian editions and aims to celebrate the diverse faces of motherhood in Kenya. According to Patricia Gichinga, Head of Production at M-Net, the show will delve into more than parenting: “It’s about ambition, identity, and the strength it takes to balance it all while living in one of Africa’s most exciting cities.”
With a mix of glitz, vulnerability, and powerful storytelling, The Mommy Club NBO promises to offer Kenyan audiences a compelling, fresh take on what it means to be a modern mother.
