The official draw for the 2024 Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) is scheduled to take place on January 15 at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC) in Nairobi.
Eighteen teams that have secured their spots for the continental tournament will participate in the draw, including co-hosts Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
Other confirmed teams include Morocco, Guinea, Senegal, Mauritania, Niger, Burkina Faso, Nigeria, Central African Republic, Congo, DR Congo, Zambia, Angola, and Madagascar.
The TotalEnergies CAF Africa Nations Championship will be held from February 1 to 28, 2025, across the three co-hosting nations: Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
The tournament will feature several of Africa’s football powerhouses, including reigning champions Senegal, who triumphed over Algeria in the 2022 final in Algiers to win their first-ever CHAN title.
Kenya, set to be fully prepared by January 20, has met all of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) requirements for its stadiums, alongside its co-hosts.
