Kenyan digital creator, Lydia Wanjiru, has caused a stir online by candidly sharing her cosmetic surgery experience.

Recently, she shared she had undergone Liposuction 360, tummy tuck, and Brazilian Butt Lift-all three popularly chosen by women in order to effectively sculpt the body. Her openness has earned her praise for breaking the silence surrounding cosmetic surgery in Kenya.

Lydia says her procedures were performed by Dr. Matwa at Halcyon Healthcare, which she confidently describes as “the best plastic surgery team and facility in Kenya.” She has been very open about every step, from the decision-making process to the realities of recovery.

Lydia shared that her surgery was on November 1st of this year and that she is on the fourth week of post-operative healing. She explained her body is “still swollen and still cooking” and that the results of cosmetic surgery are very gradual, requiring a lot of patience.

Lydia looks uplifted and full of positive energy in the shot, showing off her recovery process with a beaming smile amidst the expected swelling and discomfort. On the site, many of her followers applauded the vulnerability and confidence she has in facing her healing process.

She encouraged her fans to follow Dr. Matwa and Halcyon Healthcare, mentioning them as the supportive team that has walked with her through this transformation. Lydia’s openness has helped normalize the conversation regarding body enhancement procedures, especially for Kenyan women who often feel judged or misunderstood.
