Kamba Community Supports Affordable Housing Initiative and Awaits Presidential Visit

Members of the Kamba community have embraced the government’s initiative on Affordable Housing, considering it a transformative step for low-income Kenyans.

This display of solidarity was noted during a civic education forum in Nairobi that also focused on the Social Housing Authority (SHA) registration awareness drive.

It has galvanized many leaders who are now urging Kambas from all over to register and take advantage of this chance to better their livelihoods.

“This programme means more than just houses it’s jobs, dignity, and empowerment,” remarked one of the participants to overwhelming applause from locals present.

Residents from the region further shared their sentiments regarding President William Ruto’s expected visit to Ukambani which has been deemed as an attempt towards solidifying the regions connection with the central government.

The mentioned leaders together with Governor Johnson Sakaja and Hon. Patrick Mbangula convened emphasizing the need for Regional development which led to celebrating Dr Alfred Mutua’s focus on integrating Nairobi with its peripheries.

“Having our voices integrated into formal policies enables us not only shape our lives but affirm where we truly belong,” part of their feedback highlighted alongside other community members “this is what democracy should be: a bond that builds people”
