Mining Cabinet Secretary Hassan Joho has met with EAC, ASALs and Regional Development CS Beatrice Askul Moe to explore ways their ministries can work more closely to deliver better results for Kenyans.
CS Askul paid a courtesy visit to Joho at his office, where they held what Joho described as warm and productive talks. The discussions focused on ongoing projects in the mining and blue economy sectors in different parts of the country.
The two leaders said there is a need for stronger coordination to avoid duplication and ensure government programs reach the people who need them most.
“When we work together, we can make a real difference in the lives of ordinary Kenyans,” Joho said.
They agreed to align their efforts, share ideas and build partnerships that will improve efficiency and boost development, especially in resource-rich and coastal regions.
Also present at the meeting were CDA Chairman Mzee Mwinyi Mzee, Blue Economy Principal Secretary Betsy Njagi, Mining Principal Secretary Harry Kimtai, and Acting CDA CEO Dr. Mwanasiti Bendera.
Joho said the government remains committed to working across ministries to ensure national projects deliver real impact to communities.
