The Government has moved to strengthen security coordination and accelerate development delivery in Turkana County following high-level consultations between the Ministry of Interior and Members of Parliament from the region.

The meeting was chaired by Dr. Raymond Omollo, who held discussions with Turkana legislators to review security arrangements and align them with ongoing and planned development programmes.

The talks focused on enhancing collaboration between national security agencies and county-level leadership to ensure stability, effective service delivery, and smooth implementation of government projects at the grassroots.

“We reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to inclusive development across all regions of the country, ensuring that no area is left behind in the pursuit of peace, stability and socio-economic transformation,”statement read.

The meeting brought together MPs from Turkana County, including Paul Ekwom Nabuin (Turkana North), Daniel Epuyo (Turkana West), Joseph Namuar (Turkana Central), Akujah Protus (Loima), and Cecilia Ishuu (Woman Representative).
