National Assembly Majority Leader and Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichungwa on Saturday held a people’s engagement forum with residents of Itiira, Mianjatiri, and Kathutheri in Muminji Ward, where he emphasized community participation in shaping local development priorities.

Ichungwa said the forum offered a chance to listen to residents, gather their views, and jointly outline the most pressing needs of the area as campaigns gain momentum ahead of the Mbeere North by election.

“We listened, shared ideas, and discussed key priorities that will shape the future of Mbeere North,” Ichungwa said in a statement after the meeting.

The discussions focused on improving access to essential services, strengthening grassroots development programs, and ensuring that government initiatives reach households across the ward.

Ichungwa reaffirmed Kenya Kwanza’s commitment to community centered governance, adding that public engagement remains a key pillar of the administration’s development strategy.

He noted that similar forums will continue across Mbeere North to help align government interventions with the everyday needs and expectations of residents.
