Tanzanian music sensation Harmonize has responded to growing speculation about a possible reconciliation with his ex-girlfriend, Frida Kajala, following their affectionate appearance at a recent birthday celebration.
The two were seen sharing a close moment during the birthday party of singer Mario’s daughter, sparking intense chatter online.
Videos from the event quickly made rounds on social media, showing Harmonize and Kajala dancing closely, exchanging warm gestures, and even sharing a touching moment where Harmonize was seen gently wiping Kajala’s face. Their chemistry during the event led fans to wonder if the once high-profile couple had rekindled their romance.
However, Harmonize has put the rumours to rest. Speaking to Tanzanian media, the Single Again hitmaker firmly denied that they were back together, stating that while their relationship is over, they have managed to remain on friendly terms.
“No, we are not back together. I’ve never said that, and she hasn’t either,” he clarified. “We are mature people. We shared a relationship in the public eye, but now we’re living our separate lives.”
Despite the split, Harmonize openly acknowledged Kajala’s significant impact on his music career. He revealed that a large portion of his hit songs were inspired by their past relationship.
“She has inspired about 80% of my biggest songs. When I sing about her, I feel it deeply—it comes from the heart,” he said.
Harmonize emphasized that the affection displayed at the birthday party stemmed from mutual respect, not lingering romance.
He explained that their comfort around each other is a reflection of the good rapport they’ve managed to maintain since their breakup.
