The Kenyan government remains committed to upholding a cohesive approach across all three arms of government while ensuring the Judiciary retains its independence, Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi announced in a recent statement.
Speaking at the 12th anniversary of the Supreme Court, Mudavadi emphasized that collaboration among the Executive, Legislature, and Judiciary is vital to serving the Kenyan people with dedication and integrity.
Mudavadi accompanied President William Ruto and Deputy President Kithure Kindiki to the anniversary celebration held at the Supreme Court, where they joined Chief Justice Martha Koome and other judicial leaders to commemorate the establishment of the Court.
The event, themed “Introspecting and Reflecting on the Supreme Court’s Jurisprudence,” highlighted the role of the judiciary in guiding Kenya’s democratic evolution and upholding the rule of law.

During his address, Mudavadi praised the Supreme Court’s work in advancing justice and expressed the government’s support for the Judiciary’s fight against corruption.

“Our government is dedicated to a unified approach, recognizing each branch’s role while respecting judicial independence,” Mudavadi stated. “Our collaborative efforts are directed at achieving a fair and transparent governance system that reflects the best interests of our citizens.”
President Ruto echoed these sentiments, commending the Judiciary’s role in delivering impartial justice and upholding the rule of law.
This gathering, attended by various leaders from both government and civil society, underscored the collective responsibility to build a more equitable and robust judicial system that supports the nation’s broader developmental goals.
