The Ministry of Public Service has made a national invitation for drivers to submit their applications for a position in the public service on permanent and pensionable terms.

In a notice on Tuesday, September 30, Public Service Principal Secretary Jane Imbunya invited interested Kenyans to apply via the Ministry’s portal before October 22, 2025.

The Ministry says the chosen applicants will be needed to drive government vehicles as authorized, conduct daily vehicle checks oil, cooling systems, brakes, and electricals and ensure safety and security of the vehicle at all times, on and off the road.

Shortlisted candidates will be required to present the original National ID, academic certificates, and other supporting documents at the interview stage.

PS Imbunya also warned the applicants from presenting forged documents or attempting to influence the recruitment process.

“It is an offence to present forged certificates or documents. Canvassing in any form will lead to automatic disqualification,” she stated.

Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.

The recruitment is aimed at a push to improve service delivery across various government departments, with the Ministry looking to improve its transport and logistics services with a more stable and reliable workforce.
