Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has emphasized the importance of loyalty to President William Ruto and responsiveness to the needs of Kenyans for the newly appointed Cabinet members.
Addressing the Cabinet during their two-day induction on Tuesday, Gachagua outlined the critical need to remain committed to the Kenya Kwanza plan.
“It is crucial that we remain responsive to the citizens’ needs and aspirations. Their trust in the government hinges on our ability to deliver,” Gachagua asserted.

He urged the Cabinet Secretaries (CSs) to be accessible leaders who actively engage with the public to grasp the real issues facing the country.
“A call to serve in Government – moreso the Cabinet – is a privilege to serve the People and the Country with sheer hard work, resolute dedication and distinction,”Gachagua said adding that effective leadership involves building cohesive teams and connecting with people from all walks of life.
Gachagua also advised the CSs to ensure their communications carry the same weight as their official memoranda. He concluded by encouraging them to offer honest and truthful counsel to the President.
“As I closed the induction at the National Defence College International Peace and Support Training Centre in Karen, Nairobi, this evening, we are revitalised to work together with vigour and valour to deliver on the Development Agenda as expected by those who have given us the mandate to serve- Kenyans.” he said.
The DP was accompanied by Chief of Staff and Head of Public Service Felix Koskei.
