Former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua has linked Limuru Member of Parliament John Kiragu to his attack in the constituency while attending a funeral.

In the incident, suspected goons disrupted the funeral service that was being held at Bibirioni Boys High School playground, forcing Gachagua to scamper for safety.

The mayhem resulted in multiple injuries and malicious damage to property, including high-end vehicles linked to Gachagua.

Speaking to NTV, Gachagua claimed that the same individuals who were recorded assaulting and chasing him away were later captured escorting MP Kiragu to safety.

"People were captured on video attacking the former deputy president and the same people were seen escorting the area member of Parliament for safety. You do not need rocket science to know that these criminals and this MP were on the same mission," claimed Gachagua.
