The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has officially reinstated Mwatate United FC to the FKF National Super League (NSL) for the 2025/2026 season.
However, the club’s participation will be contingent on meeting all mandatory registration and club licensing requirements.
In a related move, FKF has announced the immediate suspension of Dimba Patriots FC from the NSL, following a ruling by the FKF Leagues and Competitions Committee (LCC).
FKF CEO Harold Ndege confirmed that all 2024/2025 season results involving Dimba Patriots FC have been nullified.
This decision comes after a thorough review by the LCC, which took into account all submissions regarding the club’s status in the league.

This ruling effectively resolves a long-standing dispute between Dimba Patriots FC and Mwatate United FC, bringing much-needed clarity to the competitive structure of the FKF NSL as the new season approaches.
Last month, the High Court dismissed Dimba Patriots FC’s case challenging their removal from the NSL, clearing the way for Mwatate United’s return to the league.
