Esther Musila has shared heartbreaking news about the sudden passing of a young man she considered her own son. In an emotional tribute posted on her social media, Musila poured out her grief over the loss of Malakwen, a boy she held close to her heart.

“To a son I loved like my own, this one has really hit me hard,” she wrote. “It hasn’t even been a year since we laid your parents to rest. Just two days ago, we talked—you were excited to start university. You dreamed of becoming a scientist, and I was so proud of your plans.”

Musila spoke about Malakwen’s close bond with her own son, Glenn K. Naibei, describing them as brothers from the very beginning.

“You and Glenn were inseparable since Class 1. Watching the two of you over the years taught me what true brotherhood looks like. You always had each other’s backs.”

Though she didn’t reveal the cause of Malakwen’s death, her words suggested a deep pain, and perhaps regret.

“You didn’t deserve to go like this. I’m angry. Some of us failed you.”

She ended the tribute with a moving farewell:
“Rest in peace, my child. I believe your parents, whom you cared for so lovingly in their final moments, saw your pain and called you home. Sleep well, Malakwen. Rest well.”
