The grandma carried a basket of vegetables worth Ksh 250 as an offer to keep her grandson in school since she couldn’t afford school fees.Her grandson’s fee balance stands at Ksh 113,000.
The story touched Kenyans and popular Kenyan celebrities Comedian Eric Omondi and celebrity Akothee.The musician hailed the moment as one of sacrifice and called on Kenyans to support Brian.
On her social media pages, she shared that she would take care of the young boy’s school fees through her foundation, Akothee foundation.

''This boy is incredibly brilliant , always top of his class. He’s in a boarding school, and I’ve confirmed the details. We will officially take him under the Akothee Foundation. I’ve already spoken to the principal to allow him to stay in school, and I’ll be visiting next week to clear his fees and settle any outstanding balances.''
Comedian Eric Omondi revealed to the online community that “Team Sisi Kwa Sisi” would support the young man. He promised to provide a full sponsorship to the University level. On his social media accounts, he wrote, ”Team SISI KWA SISI tukae standby huyu tunapeleka mpaka University.”
