Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi said that the office of auditor general has started examining the country’s debt to established amount of money owed to various creditors.
He spoke to Reuters but did not disclose more details.
Today afternoon Mbadi appeared before the Senate Committee on Finance and Budget to present the National Treasury’s position on the Division of Revenue (Amendment) Bill, 2024.
He emphasised the importance of reducing our national expenditure and minimising wastage at both the National and County levels.
This he said will allow the country save more resources for the betterment of economy.
The CS reiterated his commitment to implementing an end-to-end procurement system to curb the theft experienced in the past.
