KCB Silences DCI Queens to Retain Karori Volleyball Tournament Title

The KCB Volleyball team claimed the 2024 title at the Kipchumba Karori Eldoret International Volleyball Tournament held in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County.

The victory came after they triumphed over DCI Queens 3-1 in a thrilling four-set final, securing the championship for the third consecutive year.

KCB’s win also saw them outplay volleyball giants from both Kenya and Uganda.

The final started with both teams putting up a fierce fight in the first set, which KCB narrowly won 27-25. The Bankers dominated the second set, taking it 25-16.

However, DCI Queens fought back in the third set, edging out KCB 25-18.

In a dramatic comeback, KCB sealed the victory with a 28-25 win in the fourth set.

On their way to the final, KCB overcame Post Bank, DCI, and two Ugandan teams—Kampala Amateur Volleyball Club (KAVC) and KCCA.

KCB’s Terry Tata was named the Most Valuable Player, while Fridah Boke earned the Best Setter award.
