Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale on Thursday on Monday joined Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to receive His Highness Prince Rahim Aga Khan V.
Prince Rahim Aga Khan V arrived in the country for his first official visit since assuming the role of the 50th hereditary Imam of the Shia Ismaili Muslims in February.
The three-day visit comes at the invitation of President William Ruto and highlights the enduring partnership between Kenya and the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), established by Prince Rahim’s father, Prince Al Husseini Aga Khan IV.

In Kenya, AKDN employs more than 14,000 people and has made a significant impact in sectors including healthcare, education, insurance, banking, real estate, and climate resilience.
The Aga Khan Foundation has also supported quality education for 160,000 learners across 366 primary schools.
During his stay, Prince Rahim will pay a courtesy call at State House, Nairobi, where he is expected to hold talks with President Ruto on deepening collaboration and exploring new areas of partnership to promote sustainable development and shared prosperity.
