Gor Mahia head coach Sinisa Mihic expressed disappointment with the team’s performance after their 0-0 draw against Bidco United on Thursday, citing a lack of quality and poor attitude.
Mihic highlighted the urgent need for significant changes within the club if the situation is to improve.
He suggested that an overhaul of the squad is necessary to meet the required standards.
This comes as a surprise given the Croatian coach’s optimism when he joined the club in early February.
His first victory came a week later with a 2-1 win against Mathare United, but consecutive draws have since hindered the team’s ambitions for a resurgence under his guidance.
Reflecting on the team’s performance, Mihic criticized the lack of effort from certain players, pointing out their insufficient work rate.
He was particularly harsh on those who came off the bench but failed to make an impact.
“To be honest, we don’t have the quality. We need five new players up front,” Mihic said. “When players come off the bench, they have to contribute, especially if they’re professionals. We had players who came on and did nothing. They were just walking around.”

He continued, “From what I’ve seen, we need quality. We faced a team focused solely on defending, and we needed to adjust our approach. We need to refresh the squad and make changes. If I’m the coach, some players are not of Gor Mahia’s calibre.”
The draw saw Gor Mahia miss an opportunity to climb higher in the standings, even as league leaders Police FC also failed to secure a win in their match.
