As part of efforts to promote an efficient health supply chain under Universal Health Coverage (UHC) agenda, Health Cabinet Secretary Hon. Aden Duale on Monday toured the National Supply Chain Centre in Embakasi.
During the visit, he was briefed on the Integrated Logistics Management Information System (i-LMIS), a technology-driven platform that leverages AI, real-time tracking, and early warning alerts to streamline delivery and strengthen the efficient health supply chain across the country.
Speaking at the Kenya Medical Supplies Agency (KEMSA) headquarters, CS Duale underscored the Agency’s role in implementing Taifa Care through a demand-driven supply model aimed at reducing wastage and enhancing an efficient health supply chain.
He called on KEMSA staff to uphold unity, integrity, and accountability to support ongoing health sector reforms.
Duale also highlighted recent deployment of 6,484 healthcare interns, and reaffirmed his stance on zero tolerance for corruption as a means to rebuild trust in public health supply systems.
The CS was accompanied by Director General for Health Dr. Patrick Amoth, KEMSA Board Chair Hon. Samuel Tunai, and CEO Dr. Ejersa Waqo.
