Fans of gospel artist David Wonder have been left concerned after a video emerged showing the musician hospitalised and visibly unwell. The footage, which has been widely circulated on social media, shows the singer lying on a hospital bed, prompting an outpouring of prayers and support from his followers.

In an exclusive update, Wonder’s manager, Chingi Boy, confirmed that the singer has been diagnosed with deep vein thrombosis (DVT) — a serious condition that has impacted his health and career since 2022.

“David has been unwell for some time. The condition has significantly affected his ability to perform, and doctors have strongly advised him to avoid standing for long periods,” Chingi revealed.

Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) occurs when a blood clot forms in a deep vein, most commonly in the legs, though it can also appear in the arms or pelvic region. If left untreated, it can lead to serious complications such as pulmonary embolism.

According to his manager, David Wonder’s illness has not only disrupted his musical activities but has also taken a toll on his finances. As a result, he is appealing to well-wishers for financial support to assist with his medical expenses.

“We’ve had to cancel several shows, and it’s been difficult financially. Anyone who feels moved to assist can reach out through David’s official social media pages. Every bit of help will be deeply appreciated,” Chingi added.

Fans and members of the gospel music community have continued to send encouraging messages, with many hoping for the singer’s full recovery and return to the stage.
