Cabinet Secretary Ministry of Water Sanitation and Irrigation Eric Mugaa on Tuesday held an engagement meeting with some of the executive leadership of Meru County in his office at Maji house, Nairobi.
In a statement he shared on his social media account , the Cs said that the meeting was aimed to discuss key sustainable development in the region.
“We discussed key sustainable development projects in the region specifically on Water, Sanitation and irrigation sectors to align the projects with the public priorities and needs.,’he said.
He noted that they further discussed issues not limited to Public Engagement strategies to sensitize the people on government projects in the region.
“Effective engagement acts as a bridge between the Government and the community, facilitating a two-way dialogue that reduces resistance and increases public ownership of initiatives, well aligned with their needs,’ he added.
The meeting was attended by Chairs, directors and senior officials representing key Government agencies.
