County Supermarket has officially reopened its Kabati branch, weeks after it was looted during the recent Gen Z demonstrations that rocked several towns across Kenya.
In a heartfelt statement, the retail chain expressed gratitude to its suppliers, landlords, customers, and the local community for standing by the company during what it termed one of its most challenging times.
“To our suppliers, landlords, the community where our branches operate, customers, friends, and well-wishers who have all come together to help County Supermarket rise again — there are not enough words to express what we feel. May God who sent you repay you in your time of need. Asante Sana,” the statement read.
The Kabati outlet, which had been forced to shut down after looters made away with goods worth millions of shillings, is now fully operational.
The management assured customers that the reopening marks a new beginning and reaffirmed its commitment to delivering quality service and affordable products.
County Supermarket also praised the resilience of its employees and the support received from partners, noting that such unity was key to restoring operations quickly.
