Veteran TV Siren Betty Kyallo has cautioned people to be careful when going for cosmetic procedures. Betty also advised social media influencers to research to research before they agree to promote a product and encouraging their fans to be consumers of the products they promote.

On her Instagram page, Betty insisted that there are numerous qualified plastic surgeons that people could approach.

“By the time we allow anyone to touch our bodies, whether it is plastic surgeons or even doctors, let’s make sure we do our research well,” the TV show host noted.

There are so many splendid professionals in our country, we just need to find them,” 

“Let’s keep off from things we don’t understand unless you get properly educated.

And to influencers, kindly let’s always do due diligence before we try to convince our fans into buying into anything. That is our responsibility.” 

Betty Kyallo’s word of advice happens after a Kenyan lady passed away due to negligence while undergoing liposuction at a popular clinic based in Nairobi.

News of her passing was shared by content creator and entrepreneur Amira, who is friends with the daughter of the deceased lady.

“It is heartbreaking to lose someone as wonderful as Lucy due to negligence and malpractice by unqualified individuals performing plastic surgery procedures.

“Lucy had her surgery done by someone confirmed not to be a plastic surgeon. Her intestines were perforated, leading to stool leaking into her abdomen, causing a severe infection that resulted in her death,”
