President William Ruto has reaffirmed Kenya’s commitment to its robust diplomatic relationship with China during a meeting at State House, Nairobi, with Li Xi, a prominent member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China.

The discussions centered around the two nations’ shared objectives of economic development and regional stability, emphasizing mutual respect and strategic collaboration.

“We value our strong diplomatic ties with China,” President Ruto stated. “This partnership is vital in achieving our vision for growth and modernization, and it is exemplified by our participation in the Belt and Road Initiative.”

The Belt and Road Initiative, a global development strategy adopted by China, aims to enhance infrastructure, trade, and technology projects across participating countries.
