Embakasi East MP, Babu Owino summoned by DCI over allegations of money laundering and incitement.
The document states that the legislator is believed to have information pertinent to the ongoing investigations.
“Under the powers conferred to me under this section, I request you Hon Babu Owino to report to me at DCI Nairobi County Headquarters Police Station on the 24th day of July 2024 at 9:00 a.m. and furnish me with full information concerning the case.” read part of the summon.
“I do believe you, Babu Owino, might have been involved or have information which can assist me in my investigations.”
Upon receiving the summon, Babu Owino expressed his displeasure with the move by sharing the document on his social media handle.
“I have been summoned by the DCI tomorrow to help them investigate myself, total madness,” Embakasi East MP posted
