Speaker of the National Assembly Moses Wetangula has hosted a delegation of young doctors at Parliament Buildings, where he emphasized the need for sustained investment in Kenya’s healthcare system.

Wetang’ula said he was encouraged by the doctors’ dedication to service, noting that strengthening the country’s health sector requires continued government commitment to training, equipping, and retaining medical professionals.

“I was encouraged by their dedication to service and reaffirmed the importance of sustained government investment in training, equipping, and retaining medical professionals,” Wetangula said in a statement.

He stressed that improving working conditions, enhancing continuous professional development, and ensuring well-resourced medical facilities are key to achieving quality and affordable healthcare for all Kenyans.

The Speaker further observed that supporting young doctors is an investment in building a healthier and more resilient nation.
