A Naivasha court has granted the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) two months to release a case file involving a 73-year-old man accused of plotting to murder five members of his family.
The suspect, identified as Francis Muya, is facing five counts of conspiracy to murder. According to court records, the alleged plot targeted close family members, raising serious concerns over the nature and gravity of the accusations.
The court further heard that two other suspects—Muya’s daughter and her fiancé—are also wanted in connection with the case but are currently residing in the United States. They face similar charges of conspiracy to murder.
In its directions, the court ordered the DPP to update it on the progress made in efforts to extradite the two suspects from the US, noting that clarity was needed on the status of international cooperation in the matter.
The case will be mentioned after the two-month period, during which the prosecution is expected to comply with the court’s orders and provide a comprehensive update on the file and extradition process.
