Cabinet Secretary Youth Affairs, Creative Economy & Sports Salim Mvurya on Tuesday appeared before the National Assembly’s Departmental Committee on Social Protection.

On his social media post , the Cs said that he had been invited to outline outline the policies, programs and proposed expenditure ceilings for the State Department for Youth Affairs & Creative Economy.

The session was being chaired by Thika member of Parliament Alice Ng’ang’a.

“I have appeared before the National Assembly’s Departmental Committee on Social Protection to outline the policies, programs and proposed expenditure ceilings for the State Department for Youth Affairs & Creative Economy, chaired by Hon.Alice Ng’ang’a,” he said.

He noted that during the engagement , he led the Department in strongly outlining a case for an increased budgetary allocation to scale up youth empowerment initiatives, strengthen the creative economy value chain, and expand opportunities for skills development.

He was joined by Heads of Department and CEOs of SAGAS and National projects within the State Department.
