President William Ruto has welcomed global online star iShowSpeed to Kenya, describing his visit as a significant boost to tourism, youth engagement, and digital culture.

The YouTuber’s arrival places Kenya firmly in the international spotlight as part of his hugely popular “Speed Does Africa” tour, which has drawn millions of viewers across Africa and around the world.

Tourism Cabinet Secretary Rebecca Miano said iShowSpeed is in the country for creative projects, public engagements, and cultural exchange, noting that the visit presents a powerful opportunity to showcase Kenya to a vast global digital audience.

The Kenya Tourism Board (KTB) confirmed his arrival and encouraged Kenyans to recommend destinations and cultural experiences for him to explore during his stay.

Since landing, iShowSpeed has attracted massive crowds, with viral livestreams capturing him interacting with excited fans and embracing local culture.

He has already been spotted touring parts of Nairobi, including Kenyatta Market, where he purchased locally made merchandise and also boarding matatus to sample their culture.
