Global payments company Verto has introduced the Atlas Suite, a new set of tools designed to simplify how businesses move money across borders.
The product targets fintechs, marketplaces, and digital platforms that often face hurdles when scaling in Africa’s fragmented financial landscape.
Atlas is powered by a single API-first integration, meaning businesses can embed banking, foreign exchange (FX), and payments services directly into their platforms without needing their own licenses or complex systems.
Verto says the solution is available globally, but its biggest impact will be felt in Africa, where cross-border trade has long been slowed by limited access to banking and volatile currencies.
“Many businesses in Africa face real challenges when trying to expand across borders. Atlas is built to remove those roadblocks and unlock growth,” said Ola Oyetayo, Verto’s CEO and Co-founder, during the launch.
Breaking Down Barriers
With Atlas, businesses gain instant access to local accounts, strong FX liquidity, and infrastructure that supports 49 currencies.
Verto says this will make it easier for digital businesses to pay suppliers, settle customers’ bills, and manage operations in multiple markets without the usual delays.
The suite is also tailored to specific needs:
- For fintechs: Real-time FX, payments to over 100 countries, and virtual accounts in more than 12 African markets.
- For platforms: E-commerce, logistics, and travel-tech firms can plug in payment and FX services without regulatory red tape.
- For brokers: A white-label service offering a fully branded cross-border payments solution with control over pricing and revenues.
Local Adoption Already Underway
Kenyan travel-tech startup Triply is among the first companies to adopt Atlas.
The firm is now using it to power multi-currency payments for travel businesses, cutting transaction costs while ensuring compliance across borders.
The platform also brings features designed for African markets, such as local collection accounts, centralized treasury tools, and last-mile payouts through bank transfers and mobile money.
This makes bulk payments like payroll or remittances faster and more reliable.
By launching Atlas, Verto is betting on Africa’s digital economy and positioning itself as a key partner for businesses looking to grow beyond their borders.
