Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba has announced that the 2024 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination results will be released in January 2025.
Speaking on Wednesday, Ogamba said the examiners had made progress in marking and are finalising the process before they begin grading.
The CS, however, did not give the exact date in January that the results will be announced.
"We should be able to get the results in January. Now we are working on the marking; it is in process. Once they are ready, we will release them. I won't be able to give a particular date because the ongoing process is for marking," said Ogamba.
Over 960,000 candidates wrote the exams between October 22 and November 22 in 10,755 centres countrywide.
However, the exams recorded paltry cases of exam malpractice, with the ministry implicating 621 candidates in irregularities.
