Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga has revealed that he has been receiving a flood of attention from women on social media, with many sliding into his DMs to flirt with him. As an active user of platforms like X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook, where he boasts large followings of over 22,000 and 37,000 respectively, Kahiga finds himself regularly interacting with these admirers online.
However, despite the attention, the 65-year-old governor admits that he is unable to reciprocate these advances. “The heart might be willing, but the body is not,” he said in a candid YouTube interview on Kogi’s Corner. “I recently turned 65, and there are certain things I simply can’t do anymore.”
Kahiga, who celebrated his birthday last Wednesday, also noted that as his youngest child approaches 23, he feels the weight of age settling in. “I’m a realist,” he explained. “These young women often ask me to accept their advances, but I know better. It would only bring trouble and hardship. I look at these situations with a clear and pragmatic perspective.”
The governor, who has been married to Caroline Wamaitha Mutahi, emphasized that his commitment to his family and his responsibilities as a public figure make it clear that he will not entertain such distractions.
