In a deeply emotional post, a mourning mother has shared a heartwarming tribute to her late son, Zuriel, and left social media users moved and reflective. The candid, emotive entry captures her sorrow, love, and enduring connection to her eldest, who passed on 26th October 2011 at only 1 year and 4 months of age.

“My body is numb today, I am too tired to wake,” she begins words that immediately engage readers in her abiding sorrow. That follows is a poetic recollection of the mother’s love and the endless ache of loss. She remembers the little things: her son’s laugh, morning drives from the parking lot to the entrance, and his little hands waving goodbye.

But on that morning when it happened, all of that was different. “There was no goodbye wave, no laugh, no kisses on my cheeks that morning,” she says in her account of the day her life was turned drastically around. Decades have lapsed since then, but she admits that part of her “dies every year, consciously or unconsciously.”.

She addresses Zuriel as “the son who opened my womb after they said I was barren.” Her words, which are rooted in tremendous faith, mirror the story of Hannah in the Bible a mother who prayed for a child and promised him back to God.

Even if she would not like to speak of the pain or abuse that followed her loss, Zuriel reflected on strength, closure, and everlasting love. “You are my child of testimonies. Child of God. My Son, Zuriel. You will always be my first.”
