Florence Wanjiku, a 33-year-old businesswoman from Nakuru, has spoken out about the brutal attack she endured last November, where her estranged partner, Elias Njeru, stabbed her 18 times.
The vicious assault left Wanjiku fighting for her life at Optimum Hospital, with near-severed fingers and numerous stab wounds.
Wanjiku and Njeru had been involved in a secret two-year affair, one that even Njeru’s first wife was unaware of.
In an interview, Wanjiku, a property dealer and mother of two from Githunguri, Kiambu County, shared that she is now moving forward with a new relationship.
Despite having a son with Njeru, who was also her business partner, Wanjiku plans to settle down with a man based in the United States.
She confirmed that they made their relationship official earlier this year and were looking forward to reuniting over the holidays.

However, the situation has become more complicated as her U.S.-based partner, whose identity Wanjiku has kept private, is now seeking answers about the assault.
“My new partner has been incredibly supportive,” Wanjiku said.
“While I was in the hospital, he offered me emotional support, and we agreed that once I fully recover, I’ll explain everything to him.”

Wanjiku also revealed that she had already ended her relationship with Njeru and left the business they co-owned after enduring threats and a disturbing incident in which Njeru had her locked in a police station.
