The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Party hosted a farewell cocktail for outgoing Chinese Ambassador Zhou Pingjian, marking the end of his diplomatic mission to Kenya as he heads to Beijing for new assignments.
Party Secretary-General Senator Hassan Omar, alongside other officials, led the event, lauding Ambassador Zhou as a key ally and one of Kenya’s most notable envoys.
In his remarks, Ambassador Zhou praised President William Ruto’s economic vision, urging patience with the Bottom-Up Economic Transformative Agenda.
“China has walked a similar path, and this approach will work. UDA’s strategies mirror what the CPC has successfully practiced over the years,” he stated.
Senator Omar commended the ambassador’s impactful tenure, noting that his legacy would resonate for years to come.Other officials in attendance included Party Treasurer Japheth Nyakundi and Executive Director Nicodemus Bore.
