The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has completed all necessary arrangements for the second phase of its grassroots elections, scheduled to take place on April 11 and 12, 2025, across 22 counties.
This development follows a high-level meeting chaired by Party Chairperson and Embu Governor, Cecily Mbarire, at Hustler Plaza on Tuesday morning.
The meeting convened the party’s National Steering Committee, the National Elections Board (NEB), and the management team to ensure a seamless electoral process.
NEB chairman Anthony Mwaura reported that logistical preparations have been finalised, with election materials ready for dispatch.
"We have finalized all the arrangements for the elections. The personnel are ready while poll materials are assembled and ready for dispatch," stated Mwaura.
The elections are set to commence on Friday, April 11, in Kitui, Machakos, Makueni, Kajiado, Turkana, Kisii, Nyamira, Bungoma, Migori, Siaya, and Kisumu counties.

The following day, Saturday, April 12, polling will be conducted in Garissa, Wajir, Mandera, Marsabit, Isiolo, Taita Taveta, Kwale, Mombasa, Kilifi, Lamu, and Tana River counties.
To facilitate a transparent and efficient voting process, UDA has procured over 10,000 electronic devices.
These gadgets are intended to support a digital electronic framework, ensuring the elections are open, free, fair, and capable of delivering instantaneous results upon the closure of polls.
