Three suspects have been arrested in connection with the brutal murder of Catherine Waceke Kimotho, a woman killed at her home in Kasarani on Sunday.
Victor Ambeyi, 21, the prime suspect and who was the slain’s employee, was apprehended after a manhunt led detectives to his hideout in the Valley area of Kinoo, Kiambu County.
Acting on intelligence, officers from the Nairobi DCI regional headquarters, along with local authorities, tracked Ambeyi to a home where he had been hiding with his cousin, 22-year-old Collins Seda Wanjau.
Both were taken into custody.
Further investigation led detectives to a phone repair shop in Githurai 44, where they recovered Waceke’s mobile phone. The shop’s owner, 22-year-old Benjamin Kimani Mwaura, was also arrested.

The three suspects are currently being held at Kasarani Police Station as investigators work to determine the motive behind the murder.
They are expected to be arraigned in court today.
